We were delighted to be shortlisted for the Bathroom Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2017.
After purchasing this stucco-fronted Victorian duplex in Belsize Park, Camden as their first home, our client was excited to transform the space to reflect their personal style. Having travelled extensively and lived abroad in many countries their style was very international and their brief was to create a sophisticated industrial-look master bathroom showcasing their love of natural stone and texture.
A key aspect of the project was the consideration of the metal finishes within the bathroom. To successfully implement the sophisticated industrial look, the metals needed to be different yet complement one another to allow for a timeless feel. A careful mix of antique and vintage brass, as well as dark bronze, was specified and where the exact finish could not be achieved in the piece, such as in the towel rail, it was made bespoke to achieve the exact specification.
This bathroom design works well because the materials, textures and finishes have been combined in such a way that the overall look and feel exudes a sense of individuality and style and encapsulates both a feeling a calm luxury in which you feel you can relax and rejuvenate but at the same time the look is slick and sophisticated.
