There’s no better place to start your day than in a tranquil breakfast nook that is calming, comfortable and filled with natural light. In fact, these mini dining areas, with their light, airy atmosphere, provide the perfect place to enjoy your morning cuppa, a quick snack or a chat with friends.
Here we share a selection of 8 kitchen breakfast nooks from our full home interior redesigns, including the bay window breakfast nook from our Belsize Park project and adjoined bespoke kitchen banquette seating from our Buckingham Street project.
Breakfast nook seating striped bay window
The beautiful bay window in our Belsize Park project felt like a natural choice for bespoke banquette seating and informal dining. The black and white stripes of the banquette seating draws your eye right to the end of this 30ft long room, while the oval table top in Arabescato Corchia Polished marble ties beautifully with the elegant marble splashback behind. The contrast between light and dark combined with rich textures and exotic marbles create a glamorous space that doesn’t shout kitchen with its high-end interior design.
Built-in banquette breakfast nook table and bench
In this cosy pied-à-terre in the heart of Embankment, bespoke banquette seating has been built into the kitchen island to create a functional eating area as well as form a natural delineation between the kitchen/dining and living spaces. The breakfast nook seats with tapered timber legs have been upholstered in a hardwearing ribbed fabric in graphite grey while the bench is framed in a rich textured fabric with antique brass edge detail. The dining/breakfast nook table in ebony timber has been constructed in the same depth as the seating frame to ensure a consistent look and feel. The textured surfaces and metallic finishes contrast beautifully with the white gloss and walnut island and units of this intimate kitchen. This is one of the most practical and versatile breakfast nook ideas and designs.
Elegant window nook dining set
The elegant sitting area in the kitchen of our Bromptons project is flooded with natural light and provides the perfect tranquil space for quiet contemplation at the start of the day or the end of a busy one. The clean lines and streamlined aesthetic, which features a soft colour palette and delicate accessories, combine to form a classic contemporary appeal for this corner breakfast nook.

Corner nook table and chairs in the library
A charming corner breakfast nook area in this home library radiates warmth and character. The blue-grey colour palette is striking but doesn’t overpower the interior scheme, while the elegant chairs upholstered in rich grey velvet with metal rivet piping detail adds a hint of sophistication to the space. The warm shades of natural wood balance the cooler shades of colour. It’s an inviting dining nook space that’s perfect for breakfast or even just for a relaxing coffee or tea break.
