The design of the living room was approached with a sense of grandeur. It is the formal entertaining area as well as a space in which to relax. The silk and mohair patterned, hand-knotted rug forms the foundation of the room and is surrounded by blue-grey walls adorned with elaborately framed commissioned oils.
We designed all furniture and soft furnishings as bespoke in a palette of blues and golds, to accentuate a sense of luxury that emanates throughout the space. The design of the reception room is more modest, where light grey armchairs and blue wallpaper are fresh and leisurely. The open plan reception room and dining area feature a large French window that forms a bright flow of space.
The master bedroom is layered with soft blue silk walls and a silver faux silk carpet. The shaped headboard creates a contrast to the patterned bedspread and charcoal checked throw. Bespoke bedside tables have been designed using bird’s eye maple with fabric-clad drawers, while the walls feature artwork with silk mounts and hand-painted frames. It’s the perfect sanctuary in which to unwind and relax.
The design is brought together harmoniously by several features connected to the architectural detail of both the interior and exterior of the property. These include the rich colour palette of blues and gold contrasted by light wood to create a sense of glamour. The palette has been carefully chosen to form a backdrop to the use of rich materials like marble, brass and bronze. The layers of light provide an ambient backdrop in each room, which beautifully highlight the materials and finishes to stunning effect.
